Members of Ruhr University contribute with their expertise to ensure that decisions are well-founded - whether at the political level or by those affected.
For many scientists, scientific consulting is one of their core activities. They contribute their expert knowledge to ongoing ecological, economic and social change processes and thus influence decision-making processes. The possibilities for scientific advice are manifold and range from expert contributions in specialist events, to participation in specialist working groups and committees, to policy advice through, among other things, impact assessments, decision evaluations and professional support in the implementation of measures.
Scientists at Ruhr University have already offered various political consulting services on socially relevant topics in recent years.
